🇬🇧 ARTISTIC CONCEPT Anna Vernov — Europe · Brazil · Latin America

The project explores the meeting point between the musical traditions of Europe, Brazil and Latin America through Anna Vernov’s original artistic catalogue, bringing existing works into a contemporary Portuguese-language context while preserving the artist’s distinctive bilingual and international identity.

Rather than belonging to a single genre, the project is built around several complementary musical territories. European songwriting and cinematic sensibility meet Brazilian musical culture, Latin American rhythm and production, soul, contemporary pop and orchestral writing.

Four works currently define the project’s artistic spectrum: I Miss You Tonight, Voyage Вояж, Marseillaise du Donbass and Pardonne-Moi. Each represents a different dimension of the same artistic identity — from contemporary Latin and international production to European musical heritage, intimate French expression and large-scale cross-cultural adaptation.

I Miss You Tonight, developed in collaboration with a Cuban producer and musician, introduces a particularly important new dimension: a direct connection with the wider Latin American musical landscape and a contemporary sound conceived beyond national borders.

The Portuguese language becomes not a replacement for Anna Vernov’s previous artistic identity, but a new creative territory within it. The bilingual approach remains part of the signature, allowing languages, cultures and musical traditions to coexist within the same repertoire.

The objective is to create an international-level concert programme capable of retaining its artistic identity across different formats — from an intimate chamber performance to a full-scale production with a large ensemble or orchestra.

At its core, the project is conceived as a musical journey:

Europe → Brazil → Latin America → International Stage.

The minimal line-up can adapt to different venues and repertoire, moving naturally from intimate, acoustic interpretations to a more dynamic concert sound supported by electronic elements and DJ.
