When can foreign music brands return? The question is difficult, because if import substitution progresses in Russia, moves towards the opening of new companies, for my part, I can say that I, as the general director of the Vernov Production & AKKA Music music and film company, am also co-president of the CASIdAF Center Adaptation, Socialization and Integration of Artists in France “I perfectly understand that I want to develop my company with our co-founders only in the direction of my Motherland — Russia. Why at one time, when foreign brands and other companies came with the policy and system of American centers!? By itself, this system has outlived itself, ceases to exist in connection with the new era that is coming, with new trends, and if you notice in the cultural field, certain new standards, new culture, new traditions are coming. All companies that left the Russian market did not leave because sanctions were imposed, but simply would have left on their own, we need to rebuild, now innovative techniques and systems are coming. As an innovator, unlike Sony, Warner Brithers, EMI, Polydor and others, the introduction of a new system has already appeared, which combines world standards, European and used in Latin America and other strong countries, developed music labels, as well as those already used established production systems, but the conditions under which foreign brands will return are far away. In any case, it won’t be soon. Because in Europe there is a replacement and a lot of changes in the production system due to the emergence of auto-producing, with the emergence of a large number of distributor companies, the emergence of new artists who are able to move without any help from production centers, it is clear here that the first condition under which they can return is a complete replacement of the statutory position of such production centers as Sony and others like it (from the era of the developed oil age). But they are unlikely to return soon, because in Russia the era of their own production houses has already begun, which work according to modern systems. Large companies have already appeared in Moscow, St. Petersburg and various other cities. They create certain holding companies, structures, and it is unlikely that they will have a place to return to if the sanctions are delayed for a long time. As for piracy, yes, unfortunately, a certain round of the piracy movement is opening right now, it seems to have remained unlicensed since the late 80s, early 90s, and it exists to this day. in the digital world. Unfortunately it was, is and I think it will be. As an author, composer, editor, it is very difficult for me to explain this to my students, colleagues and colleagues in the cultural field. This must be strictly monitored and relations between countries must be properly built, this is a big problem. The Russian Federation has never established a system of relationships with European copyright societies, and this year the task was given to take such a step towards cooperation, but. unfortunately, so far Russia and France have started national movement programs since September of this year. Until there are changes in society in the next few months, international programs will not give them any open “doors”, such is the system. Every year, from the beginning of the academic year and the events taking place in the political world, there are certain frameworks that are established by the Ministry of Culture in the state. I repeat once again, this year foreign companies and brands will not return, it’s just not possible. In a sense, the departure of brands is a forced fact. As an expert, I think that they will not be satisfied with sales through other countries, but they will be forced to do this and enlist the support of new holding companies or systems like ours in order to enter the Russian market. Europeans will have to go through Russian companies and this is great, this has never happened before. You must always understand Russian, Russian music, the music of the CIS countries, except for isolated cases, has never been popular abroad, it has never taken the top lines of the hit parades. Now there is a chance that our music produced in the Russian Federation in cooperation with our corporations will take the TOPs around the world. Let’s not forget that there are a lot of Russian-speaking people, immigrants from the Soviet Union, all over the world, and now many have such an opportunity to take and change the course of musical history. What does it mean if previously voiced on radio stations and TV channels somewhere abroad, producers were obliged to sell or give it to distribution companies such as Sony, LANDR and others, now it is possible to enter into partnership agreements that allow Russian platforms to reach the first level. It is important to understand that we, in turn, are working so that there would be a chance for Russian companies to exit in the same way as those brands that left Russia. Was it intentional, probably YES, I think yes, we wanted it. We are producers and we work all over the world, we really wanted our producers to be able to reach a certain level in the art of music, because we have always been strong. The Russian Empire has always been strong from Diaghilev, Chaliapin, Vertinsky and the Russian ballet, and now they are trying to close it, forget it, even ban Kalinka-Malinka. Now is the very moment when we take it into our own hands and bring it to the world level. Our music producers, our artists, musicians, sound engineers, they are very, very talented, they make good, high-quality music in terms of mastering and so that European, American, Canadian, African, Asian and other listeners are ready for this sound, because our sound is a bit out of the ordinary on a scale that meets global parameters. Not all countries are ready to listen to our manufacturer and our task is to bring out the sound for the most adapted to the ear of the peoples of the CIS countries and other peoples, to select the sound frequencies that would sound on the world market. Far from many succeeded in this, but today it was not possible for the Russian Federation to become the number one world star. The current mobilization situation can lead to the fact that we are not only no worse, but rather even better, because we have always been the best. It does not make sense for foreign companies to refuse to work in the Russian Federation. At the first stage, they may not lose so much, but several years will pass, and then they will understand that in another 5-10 years, this issue will come to the fore, in my opinion. I am a person who knows what a business plan is, profitability, and I am well aware of the vector of movement of politics in culture, I have to work hard in cultural and political projects. We Russians are arranged in such a way that when they give us an ultimatum, we do the opposite, in this we are strong and incomprehensible to other peoples of the world. On the one hand, I am French, on the other hand, I am Russian and I can say what unites us, there is understanding and French companies have not left Russia, they perfectly understand and know the history of friendship. Let’s hope that foreign brands can be rethought, I think our television, our cinema, art, music will flourish at the world level. In my opinion, foreign brands did not give us prosperity because we have our own culture, our own traditions, our own views, emotions, and they need to be shown in art. Brands will not return in the form in which they left, piracy and this will be the place to be, unfortunately. Authors and composers should get their bread. Selling through intermediaries is not the best option, this will have to be fought.
